Vasilije Micic close to signing with Hapoel Tel Aviv on $5M deal

After limited NBA minutes, the Serbian guard eyes a major return to Europe

Vasilije Micic is nearing a deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv, sources inform. The Serbian guard, who recently hired a new agent in Europe, is set to leave the NBA and return to the continent with a $5 million contract on the table.

Micic, currently under a club option with the Phoenix Suns worth just over $8 million for the 2025-26 season, saw limited action this year — 36 games with the Hornets and 5 with the Suns, averaging just 4.4 minutes in Phoenix.

His potential arrival in Tel Aviv forces Panathinaikos and Anadolu Efes to adjust their plans as both were monitoring him closely.
