BC Roma’s Senior Advisor discussed the future rivalry with Maxima and the outlook for Europe’s new competitions

Valerio Bianchini, BC Roma’s Senior Advisor and Honorary President, welcomed the arrival of the new franchise and the possibility of major basketball returning to the Italian capital.

“Having two teams will also be positive for basketball,” Bianchini told Corriere dello Sport about the future derby with Maxima. “Some fans will choose to support our team, while others will support Maxima.”

The former Virtus Roma head coach then outlined an ambitious scenario: “One will enter NBA Europe, while the other could play in the EuroLeague and still remain a reference point in Italian basketball.”
