Valencia Basket is continuing its efforts to secure a long-term place in the EuroLeague. According to Las Provincias, initial valuations for entering the competition as a franchise place the Spanish club at around €50 million, significantly below the €75-80 million figures reportedly associated with other interested teams.
The report also notes that, under the current financial model, Valencia Basket would actually lose money by participating in the EuroLeague, making the economic framework a crucial factor in ongoing discussions.
As a result, the distribution of future revenues has emerged as the key point in negotiations. The structure of income generated by the competition is expected to play a decisive role in any potential agreement between Valencia Basket and EuroLeague.
