USA Swimming calls for the Olympics to be postponed due to Coronavirus

They became the first US federation to seek a delay for the Tokyo Games.

In an official statement, USA Swimming has requested that “the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee advocate for the postponement of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 by one year”.

This declaration comes after the IOC has confirmed that the Olympics’ cancellation “is not on the agenda”.
