UNICS Kazan have announced the signing of Luka Samanic. The 26-year-old Croatian big man, listed at 211 cm and 112 kg, arrives from Zenit Saint Petersburg on a 1+1 contract.
Last season in the VTB League, Samanic averaged 10.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists over 42 games. In the WINLINE Basket Cup, he added 12.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
Selected by the San Antonio Spurs with the No. 19 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, Samanic has also played for the Utah Jazz, in the G League, Cibona and Baskonia. With the Spanish club in EuroLeague, he averaged 9.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists during the 2024-25 season.
