Unicaja Malaga signs Cameron Hunt to two-year deal

Unicaja Malaga has reached an agreement to sign Cameron Hunt, a 28-year-old, 1.91-meter American guard, for the next two seasons.

Hunt joins from Asisa Joventut, where he established himself as one of the top scorers in Liga Endesa. Last season, he averaged 15.6 points, 2.9 assists, 1.7 rebounds and a 13.8 PIR over 39 games, shooting 52.6% from two-point range, 86.8% from the free-throw line and 40.7% from three.

In the Basketball Champions League, Hunt posted 13.3 points, 3 assists and 1.7 rebounds per game over 15 appearances. He has also played for Würzburg, Derthona Basket, JDA Dijon and BAXI Manresa, winning the 2024 French Cup with Dijon.

With his signing, Unicaja adds offensive firepower to its backcourt with a guard who can create off the dribble, attack one-on-one and score efficiently from mid-range and beyond the arc.
