Lukosius was decisive in the BCL Final Four championship game, scoring 23 points while shooting an excellent 7-of-10 from three-point range to help Rytas Vilnius complete a historic comeback against AEK Athens. Rytas won 92-86 in overtime, with Lukosius being named Final Four MVP.

He made his senior national team debut during the recent FIBA window for the 2027 World Cup qualifiers, averaging 5.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in two games.
Lukosius began his basketball development at several Lithuanian basketball schools, including those associated with Arvydas Sabonis and Šarūnas Marčiulionis. At 17, he moved to Germany, where he played for Dragons Rhöndorf, a team linked to Telekom Baskets Bonn. During his first season in Germany, he was also invited by Bayern Munich to play in the Adidas Next Generation EuroLeague, averaging 13.5 points and 3.8 rebounds.
In the 2020-21 season, he made his Bundesliga debut with Telekom Baskets Bonn, appearing in 14 games in Germany’s top division.
He then moved to American college basketball, playing for Butler University from 2021 to 2023 and the University of Cincinnati from 2023 to 2025. Across his four NCAA seasons, he averaged 10.2 points, 2.3 assists and 3.4 rebounds, while establishing himself as a reliable three-point specialist.
Last season, he returned to European basketball with Rytas Vilnius, one of the strongest clubs in his home country. With the Lithuanian side, he won the BCL and was named MVP of the competition’s Final Four.
Lukosius’ strong performances attracted the attention of Dubai Basketball, the Emirati club that recently acquired his services and competes in the EuroLeague. He will now join Málaga on a one-year loan as he continues his development under new head coach Txus Vidorreta. At Unicaja, he will also team up with another Lithuanian forward, Ignas Brazdeikis.
