U-BT Cluj-Napoca have announced the signing of Christian Bishop, a 27-year-old American center listed at 2.01 meters. He joins the Romanian club to add athleticism, energy and versatility to the frontcourt.
Bishop arrives from Pinar Karsiyaka, where he averaged 10.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 17 Turkish League games last season. He started the 2025-26 campaign with Galatasaray, posting 4.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals in eight games.
After playing college basketball at Creighton and Texas, Bishop started his professional career with the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the G League. He later played for AEK Larnaca in Cyprus and ERA Basketball Nymburk, helping the Czech club win the national league and the Slovakian-Czech Republic Federal Cup in 2025. Head coach Mihai Silvasan described him as an athletic, mobile, intelligent and defensively versatile big man.
