Tyrese Haliburton: “If the season started today, I’d be ready”

Pacers star says he’s fully healthy

Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton says he’s already ready for the upcoming NBA season. Speaking during the Pacers Foundation charity softball game, the All-Star point guard expressed confidence about his physical condition.

“I am telling you I’m healthy right now. I feel great. I’m doing everything. I’m playing pick-up pretty regularly at this point. I feel great. I will be ready for the season. If the season was today, I’d be ready.”

Focus now shifts to game conditioning

Although Haliburton says he feels fully recovered, he acknowledged that regaining full game conditioning is the next step.

“I think any NBA player would tell you that before that first media timeout, that wind is different. It’s impossible to prepare for that feeling.”

Haliburton will soon travel to Los Angeles for informal workouts with other NBA players as part of his preparation for training camp.

“My goal is to be in the best shape I can for camp. I feel really good right now, and I’ll keep building from here.”
