Turkey routed Portugal 95-54 to lock in a top-two finish in their group. Alperen Şengün shined with 20 first-half points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists, setting the tone for a dominant performance. At halftime the gap was already 51-27, with Ataman’s team tallying 9 steals and 28 assists overall.

Furkan Korkmaz and Ömer Faruk Yurtseven added 14 points apiece, while Onuralp Bitim scored 13. Good news also came from the returns of Şehmus Hazer and Kenan Sipahi, who both saw some minutes after recent injuries. Defensively, Turkey gave nothing away, allowing just 10 points in the third quarter.

With this victory, Turkey will face Serbia for the group’s top spot. Portugal, still winless, sees its qualification hopes fading.

In Portugal, Neemia Queta scored in double figures with 15 points and 7 rebounds, while Travante Williams scored 14.
