Trent Forrest described joining Fenerbahce as an easy decision. “It’s one of the top organizations. I wanted to be part of a winning organization and compete for Final Fours and EuroLeague championships,” the 28-year-old told Eurohoops.
After two seasons with Baskonia, the American guard added: “It was a no-brainer for me. You get to play for one of, if not the best, teams in Europe.” According to Forrest, Fenerbahce simply asked him to be himself.
Forrest also discussed adjusting to the physicality of European basketball and his Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid, when he recorded 22 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists—a performance that confirmed his ability to impact every area of the game.
