Trail Blazers Exercise Team Option on Shaedon Sharpe's Rookie Deal

Sharpe as a rookie scored 14.7 points with 4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game after the ASG break

The Portland Trail Blazers have exercised the third-year option on Shaedon Sharpe’s rookie contract.

Sharpe, the 7th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, produced averages of 9.9 points (47.2% FG, 36.0% 3-PT, 71.4% FT), 3.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.5 steals in 22.2 minutes per game as a rookie.

The 20-year-old guard is one of the young talents Portland is banking on to leave behind the break-up with Lillard.
