Utah clears backcourt space while Charlotte adds scoring with Sexton; Nurkic joins Jazz frontcourt

The Utah Jazz are trading Collin Sexton and a 2030 second-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets for Jusuf Nurkic, per Shams Charania.

Utah clears space after drafting Ace Bailey and Walter Clayton Jr., while Sexton, who averaged 18.4 points and 4.2 assists, will boost Charlotte’s backcourt.

Nurkic, 30, joins Utah’s frontcourt with Walker Kessler and Kyle Filipowski. Both players are on expiring deals worth around $19 million.
