Tokyo Olympics officially banned to spectators from outside Japan

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games organizing committee has announced a total ban on spectators from outside Japan. The Games were postponed for a year because of the pandemic and are scheduled to begin in July.

The International Olympic Committee has added also that vaccinations, while encouraged, are not mandatory for athletes and members of national teams.
