The Minnesota Timberwolves have announced the arrivals of John Konchar and Cody Williams from the Utah Jazz in exchange for Josh Green and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Today, the final day to use the stretch provision, Konchar is expected to be waived.
The move will save the Timberwolves approximately $6.6 million, allowing the team to sign Jonathan Kuminga and another player without going over the second apron.
Williams, the 21-year-old forward selected No. 10 overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, is expected to remain with the team.
Jalen’s brother averaged 8.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 24 minutes per game last season.
