After leading Paris Basketball, Splitter will return to the NBA bench under Chauncey Billups
According to Chema De Lucas, Tiago Splitter will become an assistant coach for the Portland Trail Blazers after completing the French playoffs. Currently coaching Paris Basketball, he leads 2–0 in the Betclic Elite semifinals against JL Bourg.
This will be the Brazilian coach’s third NBA stop, after stints with the Brooklyn Nets and Houston Rockets. He is expected to join a young Portland team with strong growth ambitions under Billups.
The American forward was injured during the first quarter of the game against Valencia Basket, with tests revealing a fracture to a bone in his left wrist.
