The Oklahoma City Thunder will be without Otega Oweh for the entire season. The rookie suffered a tear of his right Achilles tendon during the preseason game against the Indiana Pacers on October 13.
The franchise announced that Oweh successfully underwent surgery on Wednesday.
Selected with the 41st overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, Oweh is coming off a final college season at Kentucky with averages of 18.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.8 steals in 36 games.
The 23-year-old guard is one of the Thunder’s two-way players.
