Olympiacos reportedly received $2.6 million in compensation to release the guard
Financial details have emerged regarding Thomas Walkup’s transfer from Olympiacos to Dubai Basketball, which was officially announced by both clubs.
According to Eurohoops sources, Walkup signed a three-year contract worth $9.6 million, equivalent to $3.2 million per season. The figure is listed as gross, although Dubai does not impose personal income tax.
Dubai Basketball also reportedly paid $2.6 million in compensation to Olympiacos to secure Walkup’s release from his previous contract.
