A heated back-and-forth erupted between Hapoel Tel Aviv president Ofer Yannay and Valencia head coach Pedro Martínez.

Earlier in the day, Martínez had expressed doubts about the idea of Israeli teams returning to play home games in Israel.

Yannay started the exchange with a sharp jab: “Hi Pedro 1:3 record against Hapoel means you shouldn’t be very calm. Imagine it goes to 1:4 .. maybe Valencia will consider a new head coach.”

Martínez quickly fired back with composure: “Hi, Ofer. Thank you for caring about my future, but don’t worry because everything is under control… Health and peace to you and yours”.
