Teams announce Serie A will re-start next weekend even if they have to play behind closed doors

The Serie A teams with a press release announce their desire to be back to action after last week was suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak in Italy

With an official press release, Serie A teams announced that they are available to return to court next weekend even if they are forced to play behind closed doors due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

Last weekend the Italian Basketball Federation suspended the whole leagues but next weekend Serie A wants to play.

In Lombardia, Veneto and Emilia Romagna the government prolonged, till March 8, all the public events and sports event unless they are played behind closed doors.

It would be a big economical loss for some teams but if Serie A will postpone another round there is a high risk not to finish the championship before June 12, the mandatory deadline imposed by FIBA due to Olympic Qualifying Tournaments.
