The future of Tarik Biberovic between Europe and the NBA is still entirely to be defined. The 2001-born wing, who enjoyed a major breakout season with Fenerbahçe Beko, has attracted interest from the Dallas Mavericks, but there is still no final agreement regarding a potential move to Texas.
The NBA franchise recently acquired his rights in a trade involving Memphis and Santi Aldama, a move that effectively reopened realistic scenarios for a transfer overseas. Subsequently, according to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, the Mavericks also submitted a formal offer to secure his services.
Despite the concrete interest, the deal is not yet done: Biberovic has not reportedly reached an agreement on contract terms with Dallas, while the financial aspect involving Fenerbahçe also remains to be settled, with the Turkish club expected to receive a $2 million buyout in case of a transfer.
On the court, the player delivered his best EuroLeague season to date, becoming one of Fenerbahçe’s most reliable rotation pieces. In 41 games, he averaged 11.3 points, 3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in around 24 minutes per game—numbers that strengthened his international profile and drew NBA attention.
The situation remains open: between continued development in Europe and a potential leap to the United States, Biberovic’s next career step is still undecided.
