Tarık Biberovic made his first on-camera appearance with the Dallas Mavericks. The 25-year-old visited the locker room, saw his new jersey and explained why he will continue wearing No. 13.

“My favorite number is actually 33. But when I signed my first contract at 15, I took 13,” Biberovic said. “The equipment manager at Fenerbahce told me that 13 would suit me well and bring me luck.”

After spending eight seasons with Fenerbahce, Biberovic is preparing for his NBA debut: “Hello Mavericks family, I’m Tarık. I’m very excited and happy to be here. We have a lot to do, and I can’t wait to get started. Go Mavs!”
