Tari Eason is staying with the Houston Rockets. According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the restricted free agent has agreed to a five-year, $81.5 million deal to return to Houston.

The contract is fully guaranteed. The Rockets and Eason had come close to an extension before last season, but the versatile forward chose to play the year out and enter restricted free agency.

That decision paid off for Eason, who secured more guaranteed money than what had been discussed in October. Houston keeps an important versatile forward as part of its project.
