Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv has officially announced a contract extension for Tai Odiase, who will remain with the Israeli club through the end of the 2028-29 season.
After joining Hapoel in the summer of 2025, the American center played an important role in the club’s historic first EuroLeague campaign, helping the team reach the playoffs and secure another season in Europe’s top competition.
Odiase appeared in 29 EuroLeague games during the 2025-26 season, averaging 3.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, and shooting 60.3% from two-point range. In the Israeli Winner League, he averaged 12.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 72.1% shooting from inside the arc in 19 regular-season games, earning a spot on the league’s All-Star Team.

General manager George Hinas also welcomed the extension: “We’re thrilled that Tai has decided to continue his journey with us. Head coach Dimitris Itoudis praised Odiase’s development and commitment: “From our very first conversation, I explained what the competition at his position would be like. Tai has been a valuable contributor on both ends of the floor, and we’re very happy that he will continue to bring his competitiveness and relentless effort to our program.”
