Svetislav Pešić previewed tonight’s clash against Turkey (8:15 PM), with the top spot in Group A of EuroBasket 2025 on the line. The Serbian coach made it clear that ambitions remain intact: “This is not the most important game of the tournament, but it’s our toughest opponent so far. It’s a test to see where we are right now.”
Pešić also addressed the absence of Bogdan Bogdanović: “We’re not looking for excuses. Every player brings something different, and we’re finding new solutions. Our ambitions don’t change.” On Vasilije Micić, who picked up a knock against Czechia, he reassured: “He has the right approach, he’s still integrating, but he will get better game by game.”
Finally, on the highly anticipated duel between Nikola Jokić and Alperen Sengun, he added: “Fans love individual battles, but to win you also need a solid base and team play. We must bring both to the floor.”
