Alessandro Cappelletti, Riccardo Rossato, Fabrizio Pugliatti and young Luigi Patti and Francesco Martinelli make up the Sicilian roster. As expected, Trapani takes to the court with only five players. Unlike in Italy, coach Alex Latini is on the bench, along with sporting director Valeriano D’Orta. Petrucelli, Sanogo and Arcidiacono are absent, having remained in Italy.

The match is little more than a training session. Trapani has no tall players and the pace is slow. Latini calls a timeout because the players on the court don’t seem willing to play, especially the seniors. Martinelli scores a three-pointer, but after two minutes, Hapoel is already leading 11-3. One by one, the Trapani players leave the court. The first is Rossato, who leaves in the 7th minute, then at 30-5 Pugliatti also leaves, and Trapani is left with only two players when Cappelletti also leaves. Only Martinelli and Patti remain on the court, but Patti commits his fifth foul with 3.03 seconds left, and after the free throws, the game is declared over with a score of 38-5 in favour of Hapoel, as Trapani has only one player left on the court. Zalmanson finishes with 12 points for Trapani, while Martinelli scores only 5 points.
