ACB clubs have approved an update to the qualification criteria for the Supercopa Endesa starting with the 2027-28 edition. The main change is the addition of a spot for the team finishing first in the 2026-27 Liga Endesa regular season.
From next season, the Supercopa Endesa will feature the reigning Liga Endesa champion, the Copa del Rey champion, the regular season leader and the ACB team from the city or autonomous community selected to host the event. If vacancies arise, they will be assigned first to the Liga Endesa playoff runner-up, then to the second- and third-placed teams from the regular season.
The change does not affect the 2026 Supercopa Endesa in Badalona, which will feature Valencia Basket, Liga Endesa and Supercopa Endesa champion, Kosner Baskonia, Copa del Rey champion, Barça, second in Liga Endesa, and Asisa Joventut, host team and third in the regular season.
