As reported by Front Office Sports in a story by Ryan Glasspiegel, Steve Kerr has emerged as one of the most attractive potential broadcasting targets if he chooses not to continue coaching the Golden State Warriors. His contract is expiring, and after the season ended Kerr said he still needed time before deciding what comes next.
According to the same report, Kerr has met with media agents, and if he does leave the bench, all three U.S. NBA rights holders — ESPN, NBC and Amazon — would be expected to have interest in him. His profile stands out because he combines championship pedigree, tactical credibility and proven on-air experience.
Front Office Sports also noted that Kerr previously worked as a top TNT game analyst in two separate stints, including alongside Marv Albert. That background makes him one of the most intriguing possible additions to the NBA television landscape if he decides to move away from coaching.
