Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors will continue together. The franchise announced Friday that it has reached an agreement on a contract extension with the four-time NBA champion and two-time MVP. Per team policy, the terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We couldn’t be more excited about reaching an agreement with Stephen and extending his historic career with the Warriors,” Warriors General Manager Mike Dunleavy said.
At 38 years old, Curry averaged 26.6 points, 4.7 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 43 games during the 2025-26 season, earning his 12th career All-Star selection. Across 17 seasons with Golden State, he has played 1,069 games, averaging 24.8 points and 6.3 assists per game.
Curry is the NBA’s all-time leader in regular-season three-pointers with 4,248 made threes and also holds the playoff record with 650. With the Warriors, he has won four NBA championships (2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022), as well as the 2022 NBA Finals MVP award and back-to-back regular-season MVP honors in 2015 and 2016.
In 2024, Curry also won his first Olympic gold medal with Team USA at the Paris Games, joining an exclusive group of players in NBA history to have won at least four championships, two MVP awards and an Olympic gold medal.
