Spurs to host NBA games at Alamodome, in Austin

San Antonio will celebrate Alamodome 50th anniversary on January 13 and will play two games in Austin in April

The San Antonio Spurs announced today that they will host four special home games during the 2022-23 NBA season, including one in Mexico City, a 50th anniversary celebration at the Alamodome in San Antonio and two in Austin. As part of the organization’s efforts to deepen their fanbase and better reach their biggest fans from Mexico to Austin, the Silver and Black will also commemorate their 50th anniversary with a season-long spree of memorable events. The 2022-23 Spurs season is presented by H-E-B.

The four out-of-market home games will be spread throughout the season, starting when the Spurs play in Mexico City at Arena CDMX on Saturday, December 17. The Silver and Black will make a historic return to the Alamodome in San Antonio on January 13. With a capacity of 65,000-plus for the Dome, the Spurs are poised to break the attendance record for an NBA regular season game. The Spurs will travel to Austin for a pair of games on Thursday, April 6 and on Saturday, April 8 at Moody Center. The Spurs remaining 37 home games will be played at the AT&T Center in San Antonio. The complete Spurs season 2022-23 schedule with opponents will be released later today.
