Slask tabs point guard Jawun Evans

Evans split last season between Juventus Utenos in the Lithuanian League and Maccabi Rishon Lezion in Israel

Slask Wroclaw signed Jawun Evans to play point guard for the team this season. Evans (1.83 meters, 27 years old) split last season between Juventus Utenos in the Lithuanian League and Maccabi Rishon Lezion in Israel. He averaged 14.4 points, 5.5 assists and 1.4 steals in 14 games Lithuanian League games and 16.6 points, 5.5 assists and 2.0 steals in 16 games in Israel.

A McDonalds All-American in high school, Evans played college basketball at Oklahoma State University. He began his professional career in the NBA with the Los Angeles Clippers. Evans also played for the Phoenix Suns and Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA. He has also played for the Agua Caliente Clippers, Northern Arizona Suns, Raptors 905 and the Cleveland Charge in the G League. Evans first came to Europe to play for Promitheas Patras at the end of the 2020-21 season and after another season in the G-League, he returned last season.
