Six names reportedly on Nets’ developing list of coaching candidates

Brooklyn’s process to name a full-time replacement for Atkinson is not expected to end until the season is either completed or canceled.

Tyronn Lue, Jason Kidd, Mark Jackson, Jeff Van Gundy and the incumbent interim coach Jacque Vaughn are among the names on the Brooklyn Nets’ developing list of coaching candidates, according to the New York Times’ Marc Stein.

Brooklyn’s process to name a full-time replacement for Kenny Atkinson is not expected to hit top speed until this season is either completed or canceled. Stein also added that as of now Tom Thibodeau is believed to be solely a Knicks candidate. Golden State assistant coach Mike Brown is reportedly another name to monitor for the Nets, Stein said.
