In a single-elimination semifinal played in front of their home crowd, Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade saw their Serbian League championship dreams unexpectedly shattered. The home team suffered a surprising and definitive 92-79 defeat to FMP Belgrade, bidding an early farewell to the national competition.
Leading FMP to this resounding victory was an unstoppable Filip Barna. The guard dominated the floor, proving absolutely decisive and finishing as the game’s top scorer with an excellent 26-point haul.
On Partizan’s side, attempts to keep the game alive were led by Carlik Jones, who scored 17 points, and Arijan Lakić, who finished with 15. Despite their solid offensive contribution, the hosts were unable to contain the intensity and effectiveness of their opponents throughout the entire game.
The bracket is now set for the tournament’s final act: FMP advances to the final, where they will await the winner of the matchup between Red Star (Crvena Zvezda) and Spartak Subotica.
For Partizan, however, there is no time to despair. Despite the bitter elimination from the Serbian championship, their competitive season is not yet over. The Belgrade squad will have to reset quickly ahead of their upcoming ABA League commitment, where they are set to face Dubai Basketball in a decisive and thrilling best-of-five series.
