Shavon Shields explained his decision to join Fenerbahce in an interview with Fenerbahce TV. “The club has achieved great success and I wanted to be part of it. After speaking with the coach and general manager, the decision was easy.”
“My main motivation was winning and joining Fenerbahce’s winning culture,” Shields added. He also described his first season with Olimpia Milano as the turning point of his EuroLeague career.
Discussing Sarunas Jasikevicius, Shields said: “He told me to come here and play my game.” He then addressed the Turkish supporters: “I’m excited that they will now cheer for me instead of against me.”
