Shai Gilgeous-Alexander set a new NBA mark by scoring 20+ points in 127 consecutive regular-season games. He passed Wilt Chamberlain’s 126-game streak that stood for more than six decades.

SGA hit the milestone during Oklahoma City’s 104-102 home win over the Boston Celtics, getting over 20 with a 20-foot jumper with 7:04 left in the third. The Paycom Center erupted, then gave him a standing ovation and MVP chants at the next timeout.

“We’ve won throughout the streak, most importantly,” Gilgeous-Alexander said after posting 35 points and nine assists. “If you stay in the right mind frame, when you stay together, when you’re connected as a unit and just have fun throughout the whole process, you get the best out of things.”

The streak began Nov. 1, 2024, with Gilgeous-Alexander averaging 32.5 points over the 127 games and the Thunder going 103-24 in that span.

“Human nature is that you have success and you ease a little bit… He’s the opposite,” coach Mark Daigneault said, while Jaylen Brown added: “The signs of greatness is just how consistent [Gilgeous-Alexander is].”
