The Chicago Bulls have traded Rob Dillingham to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Buddy Hield and cash, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Hield, a veteran shooter, had arrived in Charlotte in a trade with the Atlanta Hawks. The Bulls are therefore adding an experienced player and a specialist from beyond the three-point line.
From a salary perspective, the Hornets create a $9.6 million trade exception and take on approximately $3 million less in salary. Chicago will also receive cash that will make up for a significant portion of the salary difference in the deal.
