A major blow for FC Barcelona. Chimezie Metu suffered a rupture of the Achilles tendon in his right leg during the EuroLeague game against Bayern Munich, as confirmed by the club.
The injury occurred late in the third quarter, with Metu’s screams of pain stunning the Palau Blaugrana. The treatment plan will be decided in the coming days, but the power forward is expected to face a long-term absence.
