During the pre-match press conference for Virtus Bologna-Happy Casa Brindisi, Game 1 of the LBA Playoffs quarterfinals, Sergio Scariolo also responded to questions about the meetings with Toronto Raptors and Real Madrid that were revealed by the press.

ON TORONTO RAPTORS
“I asked and informed the Club about this interview with the Raptors. The Raptors asked Virtus for permission to hold this meeting, they arrived yesterday, and left this morning. It was a good meeting, almost with friends because I won a title with them: I believe that things were done correctly and transparently. Virtus certainly gave its ok, in the NBA nobody would ask this kind of question, so high is the habit of professionalism and ethics of each one. I told my players just today that, on the day of the European final up to shortly before the match, I was following Virtus’ training, sending corrections to my assistants, so my concentration is at its maximum here, with great desire and motivation.”

ON REAL MADRID
“I have nothing to say because there’s nothing to say.”
