Sergio Scariolo on EuroLeague: We hope to try again next year

In the post-match with Givova Scafati, Sergio Scariolo also took stock of the EuroLeague season: “If we hadn’t had the final part that was impossible to bear, we could have done more. I have no regrets about the beginning of the competition, because the inexperience with which we faced it was clearly visible from many points of view, the initial part already there with important absences, without Teodosic and Shengelia, then the central part very well, constantly staying in that part of matches in the top eight of the playoffs, then at a certain moment from one, two absentees became four, five and we couldn’t make it anymore. However, it was a very beautiful experience, we won great matches against great opponents. We didn’t have, let’s say, the label of being one of the best eight teams from the start, we tried until 2-3 rounds from the end, we were mathematically within reach of the eighth place, and we hope to try again next year”.
