Serbian basketball is facing a remarkable situation, with KSS and KLS scheduling two different draws for the same season. The federation has already determined the matchups after taking control of the top division, but several clubs refuse to recognize the procedure.
The KLS association has declared the federation’s draw illegitimate and announced another one for Thursday, September 10 at 17:00, with live television coverage. Eight clubs, including FMP, Spartak, Borac and Zlatibor, instead argue that only a competition organized by KSS can begin legally.
The dispute centers on conflicting interpretations of statutes, assembly quorum requirements and organizational authority. With the season expected to begin during the first weekend of October, Serbian basketball remains divided between two governing bodies and two proposed schedules.
