Serbia dominates Canada to return to World Cup Final

A masterpiece Semifinal from Svetislav Pešić’s side to have the better hand on the Canadians and reach Sunday’s final in Manila: 95-86 the final score

Manila, Philippines – Serbia’s ultimate redemption is completed and this is thanks to a perfect afternoon in Manila. Svetislav Pešić’s side avenges some disappointing years by producing a brilliant Semifinal over Canada, winning it 95-86 and reaching the second World Cup final, the first since 2014. On both ends of the floor Serbia proved to be simply the best team, behind another brilliant performance from Bogdan Bogdanović (23 points shooting 8/12 FG). Nikola Milutinov’s strong double double (16+10) and Aleksa Avramović’s excellent defence on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander proved to be two strong tools in stopping Canada’s best run in a FIBA World Cup. RJ Barrett was the top scorer for the Canadians with 23 points.
