At Riga Arena, Türkiye became the first national team to punch its ticket to the EuroBasket semifinals. A well-deserved win for Ataman’s squad, which remains undefeated in the tournament and returns to the semifinals for the first time since the 2001 edition (silver medal).
After pulling away in the second quarter, the Turks never looked back, fending off every attempt by Poland to get back into the game — despite solid offensive performances from Ponitka and Loyd.
It was a true team effort for Türkiye, with seven players scoring in double figures. Among them, Sengun stood out with a brilliant and historic triple-double: 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists in 31 minutes.
Türkiye: Larkin 13+5+5, Hazer 13, Sanli, Osman 10+5, Korkmaz 10, Sengun 19+12+10, Osmani 10+5, Bona 5, Sipahi 11 & 4 assists, Yurtseven
Poland: Pluta 9 & 4 assista, Balcerowski 3+6, Sokolowski 13, Loyd 19, Ponitka 19+6+6, Dziewa 11, Gielo, Laczynski, Olejniczak 3, Zolnierewicz
