Segafredo Virtus Bologna: Mouhammadou Jaiteh and Kevin Hervey Press Conference

GM Paolo Ronci: Hervey was at the first place of our list

A day of presentations at Virtus: after Ceron and Ruzzier, it’s the turn of Mouhammadou Jaiteh and Kevin Hervey who spoke to the press for the first time.
General Manager Paolo Ronci introduced the two new black and white signings: “As far as Kevin is concerned, we had the idea of improving in the number four position, maintaining quality and adding physicality. Hervey was at the first place of our list: we went with great decision on him, despite his market was important, with also a Euroleague team. From the first phone calls with him we understood that we could have possibilities because Kevin knew well the history of this club and our roster: one of the things he asked me was if Milos Teodosic would stay with us. Jaiteh on the other hand comes from two seasons well played, in Russia and Turkey: he had already touched our curiosity and since last year I had been watching his games. He performed very well against the best teams in the Turkish league, which are the teams that play in the Euroleague. I talked to a lot of people in Turkey and his reports were top notch. They are both first-round picks.”

Mouhammadou Jaiteh‘s words: “I can’t wait to start, the first impressions are more than good. Compared to the experience of two years ago in Turin I have more experience, more energy, I played in leagues other than the Italian one and I had experiences that helped me. With Ceron I met in an unfortunate circumstance and to see him again in a happy situation is closing a circle.”

Kevin Hervey‘s words: “This club won the title last year and now we are here and I see why this club won, I can touch it. This summer I reviewed some of the games I played and realized what I can improve on and how I played in some situations. Even last season I could see that this was a club of champions, now I’m happy to be part of it.”
