Mathias Lessort underwent a right elbow clean-up procedure in Athens on July 9. According to SDNA, it was a minor operation to remove osteophytes that had bothered him during the Greek playoffs.
A photo of Lessort with his arm bandaged at Matthew Strazel’s wedding had caused some concern among Panathinaikos fans. SDNA reported, however, that the procedure was routine, successfully completed, and that the player entered and left the clinic within a few hours.
The full recovery timeline is expected to be two weeks from the day of the procedure. The French center should therefore return to 100% readiness in the coming days, able to resume weight training and any exercise cleared by the medical staff.
