Sergio Scariolo said he hopes to give Theo Maledon “a few minutes” as Real Madrid host Partizan Belgrade on Wednesday in the EuroLeague. The Italian coach praised Željko Obradović’s side, calling them “a very talented and athletic team with a different philosophy from last year.”
Scariolo noted the scheduling challenge, as both Partizan and Crvena Zvezda have an extra day of rest this week. “We need to respond well physically and mentally,” he said, adding that the team is eager to bounce back after the weekend loss to Baskonia.
The coach confirmed that Usman Garuba and Gabriele Procida are back, while Alberto Abalde and Maledon remain doubtful, though the French guard could see limited action.
