Sasha Vezenkov’s NBA future may not be completely closed. According to Marc Stein, the Minnesota Timberwolves explored the possibility of bringing the Bulgarian forward back to the United States before completing their deal for Jonathan Kuminga.
However, the idea never reached the stage of an official offer, with Vezenkov reportedly making it clear that he did not want to return to the NBA at this time. His first season with the Sacramento Kings ended with averages of 5.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 12.2 minutes.
Vezenkov does not consider that experience a failure, though, and while he remains happy at Olympiacos, he has not completely ruled out a future return to the NBA. Never say never.
