Sasha Vezenkov, recently named the 2022-23 EuroLeague MVP, has shared his thoughts ahead of the Final Four, which is set to kick off tomorrow in Kaunas.
In a recent address, Vezenkov expressed his gratitude and excitement for the upcoming competition: “I want to thank those who voted for me. I thank Olympiacos, the team’s owners, the coach, my teammates. We have worked for ten months to get here. I want to thank those who worked behind the scenes with us and took care of us. I am excited to be here. I want to wish good luck to all the teams and may the best team win the trophy.”
The MVP then reflected on his past experience, highlighting the team’s growth and motivation: “Last year was our first Final Four. Everyone knows how we lost. Our motivation was to be here. We achieved it. We are happy, more experienced, and with an even greater motivation to fight for the trophy.”
With such a spirit, Vezenkov and Olympiacos are set to challenge Europe’s best in their bid to claim the prestigious EuroLeague championship title.
