Sasa Obradovic has clearly shown that he wants to transfer the pressure of being the favorite to Olympiacos in the run-up to the Final Four semi-final. The coach of Monaco showed respect for Olympiacos, but at the same time didn’t want to appear pessimistic.

On the fact that many didn’t believe in Monaco: “From the start, everyone doubted that we would make it to the Final Four. It’s fantastic. The group of people surrounding me helped me become a better coach and to achieve all of this. I’m happy to be with you. We came not merely to compete, but to continue dreaming”.

On Olympiacos or Monaco as favorites: “We are playing against a team with such history, the best coach in Europe, and so much experience. It’s different in the Final Four. We are the underdogs, but we will fight until the end”.

On what the qualification means for the Principality of Monaco: “Every day, following our qualification, you feel what this means for Monaco. We’ve been seeing it for two years now. It’s an honor for us, the players, Monaco, the fans. We try to promote basketball. Sometimes there wasn’t much appreciation for what we did. But it gave us motivation to succeed. And indeed, we made it”.
