According to Michael Scotto, Sandro Mamukelashvili will decline the player option for the 2026/27 season included in his contract with the Toronto Raptors.
The decision will allow the 27-year-old Georgian big man, who also spent time in Italy as a youth player, to capitalize on what was the best NBA season of his career.
Mamukelashvili averaged 11.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game for the Raptors while shooting 52% from the field, 39% from three-point range, and 74% from the free-throw line.
Several league insiders believe that, as an unrestricted free agent, he could command a contract worth a portion of the Mid-Level Exception, representing a significant raise from the $2.8 million salary he was set to earn under his previous deal with Toronto.
