Max Heidegger (June 5, 1997, California, USA) has joined Recoletas Salud San Pablo Burgos to compete in the final stretch of the Liga Endesa ACB season. The 1.91m combo guard, who also holds an Israeli passport, already has experience in Spain’s top basketball division.
Heidegger began his career in the NCAA, playing for the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos from 2016 to 2020. The following season, he moved to Israel, signing with Maccabi Tel Aviv, which then loaned him to Bnei Herzeliya.
In 2021/22, he joined EWE Baskets Oldenburg (Germany), facing San Pablo Burgos in the Basketball Champions League. After his stint in Germany, he moved to Merkezefendi (Turkey) before joining Baskonia, where he played 17 Liga Endesa games, averaging 8.8 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game.
In recent seasons, Heidegger has played for the Windy City Bulls (NBA G League), Reyer Venezia (Italy), Turk Telekom (Turkey), and Bnei Herzeliya (Israel), where he spent the current campaign, averaging 15.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game.
